This quick and easy 5-minute kheer is a delicious twist on the traditional Indian dessert. Perfect for when you're craving something sweet but don't have the time for a long cooking process. Made with milk, sugar, rice, and a hint of cardamom, this creamy and aromatic treat is ready in no time. Ideal for last-minute guests or a quick sweet fix!
Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup condensed milk
1/4 cup cooked rice (basmati or any other)
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)
1 tablespoon raisins (optional)
Saffron strands (optional for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the base: In a pan, heat the milk on medium flame for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add rice: Stir in the cooked rice, and let it simmer for another minute.
Sweeten it up: Add the condensed milk and stir thoroughly, making sure the mixture blends well. Allow it to cook for 2 more minutes.
Flavor it: Mix in the cardamom powder and give it a good stir.
Garnish: Add the chopped nuts and raisins (if using). Cook for another minute.
Serve: Garnish with saffron strands and serve either hot or chilled.
