I cooked India's Most Extravagant Soya Chaap
Soya Chaap Recipe
Ingredients:
250g soya chaap (sticks)
2 tbsp oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, pureed
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup yogurt (whisked)
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Boil the soya chaap sticks for 5 minutes, then cut them into pieces.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
3. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
4. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates.
6. Add whisked yogurt, mix well, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
7. Add the boiled soya chaap pieces and mix them with the gravy.
8. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
9. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
10. Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
