Soybean Ke Kabab Recipe:-
Ingredients:-
1 cup soybeans
1 medium potato, peeled and cubed
1 large onion, finely chopped
2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
1 teaspoon coriander powder (dhania powder)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
2 tablespoons besan (gram flour) or all-purpose flour
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions:-
1. Prepare the Soybeans:
Rinse the soybeans under cold water. Soak them in plenty of water overnight or for at least 8 hours.
Drain the soaked soybeans and cook them in fresh water until they are soft. This can be done in a pressure cooker for quicker results.
2. Prepare the Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, mash the cooked soybeans and the boiled potato together until smooth.
Add the finely chopped onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and chopped coriander leaves.
Mix everything thoroughly. If the mixture is too soft, add besan or all-purpose flour to help bind it together. Season with salt to taste.
3. Shape the Kababs:
Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small patties or oval kebabs. Ensure they are compact so they hold together during frying.
4. Fry the Kababs:
Heat oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat.
Carefully place the shaped kababs in the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides. This should take about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove the kababs with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
5. Serve:
Serve the Soybean Ke Kababs hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or yogurt sauce. They make a great snack or appetizer!
